Pilipinas Live, Cignal’s all-in-one sports streaming app, has named Gilas Pilipinas mainstay Dwight Ramos as its official ambassador. The news comes just as the platform has turned a year old.

Ramos is part of the Gilas Pilipinas selection that will be competing in the 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) in Riga, Lavtia. Here, the Philippines must win it all to qualify for the Olympic Games.

Launched last June 2023, the platform introduced commercial-free live broadcasts, behind-the-scenes action, and exclusive features to major sporting events. Games streamed also featured a fan stream feature for engagement and multi-screen camera angles not available on the usual TV view. On the app’s homepage, meanwhile, are news and updates.

Among the sports programs fans may catch on Pilipinas Live are the PBA, UAAP, Premier Volleyball League (PVL), Spiker’s Turf, and MPBL. From time to time, the app also showcases special international events, like the NBA, 2024 AVC Challenge Cup, and Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2024. All games of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 co-hosted by the Philippines were also shown.

For those following the journey of Filipino Olympic athletes, the platform will likewise provide coverage of the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Users may download the Pilipinas Live app on the App Store and Google Play and stream on mobile devices, Smart TVs, and Connected TVs. The subscription fee starts at PhP 149 for 30 days.
